The doctors overseeing the experiment, Lorna and Toby, watch on with an attentive eye as Connie and Tristan’s dopamine levels rise to unpredicted heights. But is the drug working? Or have Connie and Tristan just fallen in love?
In it’s first tour since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, Lucy Prebble’s award-winning play took on a striking new resonance in this 2021 revival. Buzzcut's production drew out the work's exploration of social and psychological isolation in wake of the UK's Coronavirus lockdown. So too, utilising live microscope cameras the multimedia production examined the chemical reality of love in (literal) close up.
